COVID -19 Updates
1/11/2021 – Victoria
At 6pm on Friday 29 October, Victoria moved to Phase C of the Roadmap to Deliver the National Plan, in line with the Victorian Government’s announcement that our state achieved the 80% double-dose vaccination target ahead of schedule for people aged 16 years and older.
Acknowledge Education requires all of our students over 16 years old, as well as staff and visitors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon returning to campuses. We have notified our current students of the policy and for any new applications, this policy will be indicated in a letter of offer.

Acknowledge Education continues to follow both state and federal government advice for operations, in respect to COVID-19. Our Brisbane campus will be closed from 6pm today in line with the Brisbane 3-day lockdown. We will reopen campus following the public holiday on Monday (5th April). Phone and email inquiries are attended as normal.
Hospitality and Cooking classes have been cancelled for this period. Community Services classes will all be delivered online. Details will be provided for all students directly from teaching staff members.

Acknowledge Education continues to operate in accordance with the advice of both the state and federal governments. Victoria announced a 5-day lockdown (stage 4 restrictions) from midnight tonight until next week, Wednesday (17th Feb) 11:59 pm.
The classes will continue online without any disruption, but the Melbourne CBD, Carlton, and Brunswick campuses will be closed to all students during the lockdown. All staff is working remotely and phone and email inquiries are attended as normal.
All other campuses are open as usual.

Firstly, I wouldlike to say thank you for your cooperation and understanding in these
challenging times. For those on holidays, I hope you are finding ways to have a
good time!

Thank you all for
your cooperation with the transition to online. I know there were some initial
issues, but our innovation team has worked hard to fix any problems as they
arise.
We are using a
combination of Moodle, Zoom and other video conferencing technologies to
provide our you with a great learning experience. We have provided training
sessions for all staff and student to help them with the transition.
We have also
provided a survey to all students to use their feedback to continuously improve
our delivery.

We understand that
you may be facing financial difficulties at this time. If you are, it is really
important that you contact finance@ae.edu.au to discuss what options are available to

AE’s job placement
service for students is progressing well. An expression of interest survey went
out to all over 18 year old students (not VCE!) on Monday. Over 100 businesses
have been called this week and already some students have been placed in jobs.
We are also creating

24/03/2020 Update for students about coronavirus (COVID-19)
Acknowledge Education is taking advice from the State and Federal Governments to monitor and respond to developments and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of
students and staff.
What you need to know
Acknowledge Educationn is open, and courses will continue to run for students unless they have:
- flu-like systems, a fever or ongoing cough (or otherwise sick)
- just arrived in Australia and have to self-isolate for 14 days or
- been diagnosed with, are under medical assessment for, or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
If you are unwell, including a respiratory illness, stay at home until symptoms clear up.
Classes are running
Acknowledge Education is introducing proactive measures to support students in continuing their study. This includes:
- Implementing an online delivery model for its VCE, Higher Education, Vocatonal and over 18 ELICOS programs
Australian Government advice
The Australian Government has provided a daily COVID-19 health alert including:
- travel restrictions
- mandatory isolation periods
- symptoms and how to get tested
- resources in other languages
